Diagnosis
Rete testis ectasia.
Findings
US – Round and tubular cystic collections at the level of the mediastinum testis;no flow demonstrated on color Doppler.
Discussion
Dilated rete testis is uncommon in children; usually it is seen in adults with an average age of diagnosis of 62 years. This condition is likely related to blockage of the efferent ductules or to abnormality of the epididymus or vas deferens and are occasionally associated with epididymal cysts.
